Vidal Ashkenazi, NSL's CEO, has been awarded the Royal Institution of Navigation's Harold Spencer Jones Gold Medal for 2008 in recognition of his "outstanding contribution to navigation".

WHAT IS GNSS?

GNSS is the umbrella term for the systems that provide positioning and navigation solutions from signals transmitted from orbiting satellites.

In-car SATNAV and personal navigation are the public face of GNSS. These popular consumer devices are based on the US GPS. Although successful in their domains, these devices on their own cannot meet the performance requirements of many new stricter applications demanded by modern society. These requirements can only be met through the use of combined satellite systems, integrated sensors, additional infrastructure and some advanced positioning techniques.
