NSL: Delivering Reliable and Robust GNSS for Critical Applications

NSL provides positioning systems, technical, procurement, and best-practice consultancy to a variety of market sectors. Whilst predominantly transport related, all sectors in which we operate require navigation and positioning solutions that are robust and reliable.

For aviation, maritime, road and rail NSL have undertaken a number of industry studies delivering best practice recommendations, performance assessments, GNSS and industry roadmaps and action plans, navigation algorithm assessment and recommendations, risk identification and mitigation, and infrastructure recapitalisation strategies.

Aviation
NSL undertake contracts for the aviation industry, including coordination, integrity and failure risk analyses. For the past 5 years NSL have been advisors to Eurocontrol working on GPS/Galileo Open Service RAIM covering interoperability issues and RAIMs ability to meet certain operational performances.

Maritime
NSL have a distinguished reputation in the maritime community, having conducted numerous assignments for agencies both within the UK and elsewhere typically involving performance analysis and monitoring, augmentation analysis and equipment acceptance testing and approvals.

Rail
NSL are recognised as the GNSS experts in the UK rail industry, a reputation that has been earned through a series of data collection trials, analyses and demonstration activities combining GNSS with ontrain systems and trackside infrastructure on in-revenue services.
